VLSI Research issued its top ten suppliers of critical subsystems for semiconductor production equipment in 2002. HORIBA is listed as one of the top ten suppliers of critical subsystems for the semiconductor industry, other suppliers included Lens supplier Carl Zeiss, BOC Edwards, Ebara Technologies, Leybold Vakuum, Alcatel Vacuum Technology and Helix Technology.
