HORIBA GROUP STRENGTHENS IN EUROPE |

Horiba Group has stepped up its sales and support operations in Europe to service growing demand from the semiconductor industry. New business development staff, including qualified engineers, have been appointed in the UK, France and Germany for the group's three main brands - Horiba, Jobin Yvon and STEC. The Japanese company plans to further develop sales of Horiba Group products to major manufacturers of semiconductors throughout Europe and strengthen support to existing users. Horiba Group, whose UK subsidiary is in Northampton, is also setting up a new office in Erskine, Scotland, which will serve Scotland, the north and Ireland. The company also has subsidiaries in Germany and France. Sales manager Stuart Knight said: "Horiba is serious about Europe." He said the development of sales and support capability in the UK and mainland Europe were further evidence of Horiba’s commitment to new and existing customers in Europe’s semiconductor industry. The group provides analytical and control systems for all process stages from evaluation of raw materials to final test. Horiba semiconductor products include analytical and measuring equipment for wet and dry processes. STEC is the global market leader in mass flow controllers and specialises in gas and liquid flow control and vaporisation. Jobin Yvon's product range provides thin film process control and inspection. |
