Horiba continues Semiconductor Group Expansion. |

Global equipment maker Horiba Group has further strengthened its European Semiconductor Division with the addition of Sebastien Billon to the French office. Based at the technical service centre in Gieres, Grenoble, Sebastien will work as a customer support technician, a new role that has been created to strengthen the support available from that site.
He will be
providing technical support for end-users and OEMs to the growing
installed base of Horiba Semiconductor related products especially
mass flow controllers and wet process concentration monitors. Horibas European sales manager Stuart Knight said, Horiba prides itself on providing expertise together with our products. Our customers appreciate that we are willing to go further and help with process problems around our products. He goes on to say Technical support should be available close by - and this will come from Sebastien. The Japanese-owned group now has 700 people in France with offices in Paris and St Genis Pouilly. There are also subsidiaries ABX, blood cell counter manufacturer, in Montpellier and Jobin Yvon, manufacturer of optical and spectro
scopic analysis devices, near Paris. Worldwide the group employs 3,600 people and has a turnover of more than 650 million US$, with 235 million US$ coming from Europe. Horiba supplies a complete range of equipment to support the manufacturing process, from initial analysis to final inspection.
